Read about some of the key highlights from recent months, offering a glimpse of how APF partners are training leaders, strengthening communities, and helping the church in Africa to flourish.
Agriculture training continues
APF continues to support practical farming initiatives across Africa, including Growing Greener conservation agriculture training in Malawi and compost making in Zambia, funded by Operation Agri, and groundnut cultivation in South Sudan.
These initiatives led by APF partners are helping local church networks respond to food security challenges in their own contexts, increase rural incomes and build long-term self-reliance. Our partners’ strong relationships within rural communities make a significant difference to how local people receive the training and adopt new farming practices.
Supporting UK-Kenya Baptist links
In early September, Joth and Sue Hunt joined Dave in Kenya for the Aberdare Baptist Convention Conference, strengthening the growing relationship between the Aberdare Baptist Convention and the South East Baptist Association (SEBA) in the UK. Joth, Regional Minister for SEBA, was able to meet church leaders and explore opportunities for partnership.
APF is supporting the development of this new relationship and its potential for mutual encouragement and learning.
